Executive Summary
On July 12, 2022, Sierra Pacific Fence Inc. was awarded a maintenance contract for as-needed fence and guardrail maintenance services in an amount not to exceed $400,000. This contract has reached its not to exceed maximum amount. To continue maintenance operations, an amendment is needed to increase the contract capacity.
Discussion
In April 2022, the Public Works Department released RFP 22-03 to solicit bids for as-needed fence and guardrail repair services. On May 16, 2022, the City received two proposals. Staff evaluated the submitted proposals and selected Sierra Pacific Fence, Inc as the qualified, responsible, and responsive proposer. On July 12, 2022, the City Council approved the award of a five-year, as-needed contract for fence and guardrail repair services to Sierra Pacific Fence, Inc in an amount not to exceed $400,000. Due to a few recent large projects, the contract has reached its not to exceed limit. Staff seeks City Council approval and authorization for the City Manager to execute Amendment 1 to increase the not to exceed amount by an additional $400,000 for a total not to exceed amount of $800,000.
