Executive Summary
To assist with the management of the Creek Infrastructure Project (Project) the City utilizes the professional services of Villa Civil and 4 Leaf Inc. to support staff in the performance of duties related to the Project. Although construction work has concluded, work relating to close-out of the project continues. The proposed increases to the existing contracts will allow for ongoing support to staff to finalize, audit and close-out the Project.
Discussion
The City has an existing contract with 4Leaf Inc., to provide professional services related to construction management and support for the Project. Additionally, the City has a contract with Villa Civil to provide professional extension of staff services to assist in the management of the Project. The proposed amendments would provide support as staff finalizes, audits, and closes out the Project. Due to delays in completion of the Project, claims and other close-out activities are required to be resolved. City staff currently anticipates that an additional six months of services would be required, necessitating an amendment for the 4Leaf Inc. contract in the amount of $150,000 and an amendment for the Villa Civil contract in the amount of $300,000 to provide necessary support as these close-out activities and claims are resolved. Staff therefore recommends the amendment of the 4Leaf Inc, and Villa Civil contracts in the amounts indicated.
Fiscal Impact
The cost of professional services as reflected by these amendments are included within the existing Capital Improvement Program Budget.
