Introduction
The City Council has established boards, commissions, and committees to assist with various functions of the City which makes decisions and/or recommendations to the City Council. These boards and commissions consist of individuals who meet certain criteria outlined in bylaws, the Municipal Code and/or resolution. The City Council has the opportunity every year to review the vacant and expiring positions. As part of the annual board and commission appointment process, the City enables and ensures all citizens of the City, pursuant to the Maddy Act (Act), contained in Government Code sections 54970, et seq., have equal access to specific and current information about the many local regulating and advisory boards, commissions, and committees. The Act includes that citizens shall have equal opportunity to be informed of vacancies which shall occur, so that they may pursue the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the operations of local government by serving on such boards, commission, and committees.

The application period will be from November 10, 2025 to the close of business on Monday, December 22, 2025.
