Executive Summary
The Public Works Department maintains the playground inventory throughout City parks requiring routine maintenance, repairs and replacement throughout the life cycle of the equipment. Approval of this resolution will award a contract for the replacement of the playground equipment and related services at Mulberry Park to Landscape Structures, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $349,000.00.

Discussion
The Public Works Department maintains 47 public playgrounds throughout the City. Staff has assessed the life cycles and condition of each playground system and identified a replacement program plan to address those in the most need. Mulberry Park playground has been identified a high priority replacement.

In accordance with Section 2.30.110 of the San Marcos Municipal Code (Cooperative Purchasing, Piggyback Procurement), staff recommends that the City enter into a contract with Landscape Structures, Inc.
