Fiscal Impact
The proposed ordinance and resolution are not anticipated to cause a significant fiscal impact. Although the proposed permitting fees may not always fully recover the costs associated with staff time to process the permits in question, the proposed fees represent a reasonable recovery of City staff time, and do not pose an undue impediment to the type of commercial activity that SB 946 seeks to foster. As proposed, the fees may also be adjusted from time to time by City Council action, or administratively by the City Manager.
