Executive Summary
On October 13, 2020, pursuant to Resolution 2020-8822, the City Council declared parcels identified as APNs 182-076-01, 182-076-02, 182-076-03 (collectively, "Sycamore Property"), and APN 220-420-08 ("Valpreda Property") to be surplus to the City's needs.

Subsequent to the declaration that the Sycamore Property and Valpreda Property were surplus to the City's requirements, and pursuant to the requirements of the Surplus Lands Act, applicable agencies were notified of the availability of surplus land for those purposes authorized in the Surplus Lands Act. One inquiry was received, which concerned the Valpreda Property. The inquiring party did not wish to pursue the negotiations after learning more about the Property.

As the Surplus Lands Act requirements have been satisfied and no transaction having occurred as a result thereof, it is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager and the City Attorney to negotiate, execute, and implement the sale of the Sycamore Property and the Valpreda Property, conditioned on the requirement that the sales price for each Property be at least as much as the last appraisal for the same.
