Executive Summary
The San Marcos Fire Department was awarded the contract to provide 9-1-1 Advanced Life Support Ambulance Services to the San Marcos Operating Area following a competitive County of San Diego procurement process.

Discussion
The San Marcos Fire Department submitted a proposal in response to the County of San Diego - Request for Proposals 9547 to provide 9-1-1 Advanced Life Support Services for the San Marcos Operating Area. After full review of the proposal by a source selection committee, the County of San Diego awarded the San Marcos Fire Department the contract to provide Advanced Life Support Ambulance Services to the San Marcos Operating Area.

The award of this contract will allow the San Marcos Fire Department to continue providing high level advanced life support and basic life support ambulance services to the residents of the San Marcos Operating Area for the next ten (10) years. The initial contract period is three (3) years with two (2), two (2) year extensions and one (1) three (3) year extension. With advanced life support ambulance transport services already in place, the contract transition time will be minimal.
