Executive Summary

Second reading of Ordinance 2024-1543 to adopt (TA24-0001) Transportation Demand Management to amend Title 20 by inserting Chapter 20.360 to the San Marcos Municipal Code (SMMC). The City Council approved and adopted Ordinance No. 2023-1539, the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Ordinance, on December 12, 2023, to be included in Title 20. This new Chapter was assigned Chapter No. 20.350. However, because that Chapter number is currently in use, a new Chapter number is needed for the TDM Ordinance. Staff requests that the City Council consider assigning a new Chapter number, Chapter 20.360, to the TDM Ordinance.

Environmental Review

There are no CEQA or other environmental considerations or impacts associated with the second reading of the proposed ordinance that were not previously considered and evaluated in connection with the initial action on the Zoning designation.

Fiscal Impact

There is no anticipated fiscal impact that will arise from adoption of this ordinance.
